Roadrunners win 5-1!

Today was Addi's first soccer game and her team did great. Taylor, our star player, scored three goals. Two of our other aggressive players scored a goal too. Addi didn't have much contact with the ball, but she was very attentive to what was going on. When she played offense, she followed the ball with a grin on her face.

The photo above was taken right after one of her throw-ins. She did great listening to her coach. I don't know if you've ever seen the Eveyone Love's Raymond episode where the boys are playing basketball. One of them goofs off and plays with his pants. That happened today with one of our players. He pulled his shirt over his head exposing his belly. Luckily, Addi didn't fall to the peer pressure of doing it too.

For some reason, I was asked to be flag guy. I guess I did good, but I'll admit the ref kept up with what was going on and didn't need my "expertise." The hard part of doing this was listening to smart remarks from the crowd who came to support Addi. Ha!

Our next game is Tuesday. I'll try to post some better pictures of Addi playing with her team.

  2. Addi payed such good attention- especially with all that was going on. She, unlike some of the others, did not even try to come off the field. We are, however, going to have to put some darts in her shorts or we might have an episode of funniest videos. Paul did a wonderful job as the "flag guy" and might have a new career option.
