Cussing in Animated Movies

Pixar has made some great movies. Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monster Inc., and even Finding Nemo. Even though Ellen Degeneras is in the movie, it's still a great film. When Nemo's Dad is holding that egg and the sappy music plays, I almost shed a tear. Almost. What makes Pixar's movies so great is that they're clean and family oriented.
Kim and Addi went to see Cars the other night at the dollar theater. Levi and I stayed home. I was disapointed to find out that there was cussing the movie. Why? Did anyone who has seen the movie think that having "hell" in there a couple of times made it a better film? If so, why didn't they have Buzz Lightyear holler out the "f" word a couple of times ack in Toy Story? What is the difference?

Pixar is not the only company that makes animated movies with cussing. There are other family related movies. Madagascar had suggestive language. So did The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. How about Ice Age 2 or Shrek? Maybe I'm just odd, but cussing in these movies didn't add to it. The cussing took away from it.

It's sad. Some animated movies have more cussing in them than the movie that started it all: Gone With the Wind.

"
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth. " - Col. 3:8 (NKJV)
