First Game Saturday!

Addi has her first soccer game at 8:45 this Saturday. It's going to be fun watching my little girl run around the field (or sometimes just stand there). Tonight at practice, she was having a great time. That's all that matters.

Soccer is the butt of a lot of jokes. It's definately a hard game to watch professionally. I assume that's why it hasn't caught on much in the U.S. Rick and Bubba refer to soccer players and fans at the "soccer mafia" or something like that.

Here's a funny Calvin and Hobbes comic. By the way, this was back before those Calvin stickers came out of him urinating on stuff. I think those are actually not endorsed by the guy behind the Calvin and Hobbes strip. There is some legal issue behind it.
