Stirred Up

2nd Peter 1:13 - "I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder (ESV)

What kind of things stir you up? The pressures of the world definitely do. Whether it be our job, politics, finances, or our family, it's easy to get riled up. This is not necessarily mean in a negative way.

Paul wants us to be stirred up for God. If you go back a few verses, you see some of the traits that he wants us to be excited about: faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. It's so easy to get stirred up, but not for God. As Christians, we should constantly be examining what gets us energized.
