Tomorrow is the Iron Bowl. As far as the state of Alabama is concerned, the top two football teams in the nation play in Tuscaloosa tomorrow afternoon. As an adopted Auburn fan, I will be shouting "War Eagle."
Auburn has won the last four of these games. A victory tomorrow could mean five in a row, aka "the thumb." Last year, Tommy Tuberville held up four fingers towards the end of the game. Some Alabama fans were offended. (When in reality, they were just offended that they couldn't win). Will they be offended tomorrow because of the "fear the thumb" campaign? We shall see.
I wish I could say I was confident about an Auburn win. Auburn hasn't had a terrific season since they lost to two unranked teams. However, Alabama isn't any better.
