Separated at Birth?

Okay, okay. Don't flame me just yet. I love Levi to death, but I'll have to admit that girls are different than boys. Addi is a clinger. She loves to sit in our laps. Levi's name represents his personality, he loves to leave and explore. Sometimes, he leaves a trail of "destruction" behind him. For example, I spent some time this weekend arranging the video tapes we have. Levi successfully arranged it for himself: spread out all over the floor.

This boy is fast too, let me tell you. Literally, I can blink and my son has vanished. One time at church, I was following him around. He entered a classroom and left a toy behind. I bent down to pick it up and by the time I came back up, Levi was opening the door to the girl's restroom!

At soccer practice the other night, we had a whole field to ourselves. I let him roam free and I think he covered the whole field in 3.9 seconds. Well, maybe not that fast. The bottom line is that Levi loves freedom.

I wish I knew what he was thinking. Like just a moment ago Levi somehow found a can of Manwich (today's groceries haven't been put away yet), threw it in my lap, and said "Mina" which is his word for mine. After I regained my composure from the blow of the can to fragile areas and scolded him, I couldn't help but laugh inside. He's only 19 months, full of energy, and loves to play with the world around him. What a blessing of a child!

The best thing about Levi are random hugs. Every once in a while, he'll take a breather and come give you hug. He even adds an "Aaaah" sound to it. That has to be the best thing about being a parent.

Kudos to Kim for being an outstanding mother and for finding all the energy she has to take care of him and Addi.

I better close. Levi just took off down the hallway.....
