When I was younger, Dad always had a little song he'd sing if we were mad at him. It drove us nuts and I anticipated the day when I would no longer have to hear it. Well, I now use it on Addi. It works nearly everytime.
My Aunt Becky told me that this song has more history to it. She said that she and my Dad's six other sisters used to sing it on long trips just to pester him.
Here's a video of the song working on Addi. This is the situation: Addi was just throwing a fit becuase I brought her in from the car after church and she wanted her mother. (She was carrying two bags of groceries, my job was to unload the kids). Anyway, I thought it might be a good time to capture the song in action.
Oh, I never did figure out how to turn Addi's treadmill video, but you can see it sideways still via Youtube.
Now it's time for baby updates. Everyone on the Courington side of the family and pretty much all of Sylvan Springs Church of Christ are anxiously waiting the arrival of baby Hannah. Josh and Katie are going to be great parents. On my side of the family, Katie and Seth found out they are having a baby boy. They don't have a name picked out yet, but I think Paul David McDowell has a nice ring to it.
Yes, our kids have two Aunt Katies. We have to call my sister "Oklahoma Katie" to clear up the confusion. It got really confusing for Addi with both Katies became pregnant.
