Thoughts on a Thursday Night

My Aunt Becky and Uncle Shon are in town this weekend and tonight we met them for supper at The Fish Market. By far, this is the best seafood restaurant. If you are ever in Birmingham, you need to eat here. Their grilled lemon-pepper amberjack is the best. The picture below is of their old building, the new one is really nice.

After supper, we came back to the house to enjoy Kim's special recipe of butternut cake. Yes, it wasn't the best day for my diet, but I had the points to spare.

Speaking of my diet, I really don't know how much weight I've lost. Our scale hasn't been entirely reliable and I don't think I weighed myself correctly from the beginning. Oh well, but I do know I've lost a signifcant amount of weight since I had to go down a pants and shirt size. Plus, I've had to tighten my belt a lot.

In two weeks, school will begin. My room is almost done. I'm excited about the new year. I've also peeked at my potential class roll and I like it. I have five students from last year's class. I think it's going to be a great year.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
