Attitude T-Shirts

You've probably seen them. Maybe you have one. It's these t-shirts that have some kind of snarky remark. I'm seeing more and more kids wear them at school.

Here are some of the one-liners I've seen on t-shirts:

1)"You can't tell me what to do."
2) "Blah, blah, blah. Your lips are moving, but I don't hear you."
3) "You aren't the boss of me."
4) "I don't do rules."

Some people aren't offended by them. I am. What kind of message does this send to kids about authority?

I've never seen the one above, but found the design on a web site that sells shirts and buttons. Maybe it's not that bad, but after taking Education Law at Freed, it would make me squirm.

  1. I agee with you Paul. Especially wearing this type of apparel to a house of education should be unexceptable. What you wore to school when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's was similar to what you wore to church. It was sign of respect for yourself and your teachers. I enjoy your Family Blog and will feature it on my website.

    Thank you and God Bless
