The Big 31

That's right, today is my birthday! It's hard to believe that I'm 31. That seems so strange to me that I'm in my 30's. I'm the oldest in our young adult group at church, but at least the rest of them are following right behind me.

I hope my school day is a good one. I think I'll my students that my birthday present from them should be good behavior and no tatling. We've had a good weekend. Kim and Addi had some much needed relaxation and recreation time at camp at the church retreat. Kim missed camp last year for the first time in her life, so I'm glad she went. Anyway, Levi hasn't been feeling too good lately, so we've been tag teaming throughout the week taking care of him. I hope he feels better today.

Speaking of the retreat, I hear that it was a blast. It had a "Survivor" theme to it and there were three tribes. There were different competitions on Bible knowledge and each physical competition was based on some event in the Bible. They used Genesis as the text. By far the funniest thing was the chicken chasing. Kim showed me a video of it and it was hilarious watching people chase a chicken across the ball field.

Yesterday, our friends Ben and Rachel came over for lunch. We have started sort of a "lunch club" with them and Clay and Allison. We take turns hosting a lunch and everyone brings something. That way, we can still enjoy each other's company, but not spend more money by going out to eat all the time.

I guess that's all for now. Have a great January 30th!
