Principal-less

My principal accepted another job a few days ago. She left on Friday. Of course, the school is still running and we have our assistant to keep things under control. However, it sure is eerie.

This is the first time I've been in a "change of command" like this. We don't know who will be coming in a couple of weeks. I'll have to admit, we all have our fingers crossed for someone we really want!

I've been asked before if I would like to be a principal one day. My second degree at FHU had administration and supervision licensure, but right now I have no desire whatsoever to take this career path. I like to be able to go to my classroom at the end of the day, close the door, and not worry about anything else that is happening outside my room. Plus, I just love teaching too much.
