Turkey Toss 2005

We went with some friends from our young adult class at church this morning to Rick and Bubba's annual Turkey Toss. It was a lot of fun despite getting up at 4:15 a.m. to brave the cold temperatures. All of us except Kim tossed. None of us came near to the highest throw, but we all had a good laugh. Below are some pictures.

Our friend Emily tossed a turkey and had a good bounce. Her sister Pam was close to the woman's division record. I would have a picture of me throwing one, but I only threw it a meager 45 feet. Even the kiddie division did better than me! I couldn't get a good grip. The record of the day was 120 feet.

Here is a picture of Rick and Bubba at their booth. They host a family friendly radio show all through the South and on the cable channel Turner South. Oh, Brooke from the The Bachelor 2 was there. She was the runner up on that show and now works for NBC 13.

I'll try to get some family photos up this week after Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Don't eat too much turkey!
